The National Tax Service Income Data Management Preparatory Group, an organization dedicated to establishing the infrastructure for determining income, was officially launched on the 11th with a signing ceremony.

Previously, the government shortened the period of submitting income data for daily wage income, personal service providers, and platform workers (planned) through the revision of the tax law.

The Income Data Management Preparatory Group (Director, Ji-Hoon Kim) is a control tower for the establishment of an infrastructure for real-time income identification, and has an income data planning group-income data reporting team-income data analysis team under the preparatory group, and consists of 35 people.

In the future, the preparation team prepares a systematic work process by accurately analyzing the status of income data collection targets by industry and establishing a data submission guide and follow-up management plan.

In addition, in order to support small businesses that are difficult to manage and submit income data, it provides customized individual information services such as developing a simple bookkeeping program and preparing specific reporting methods.

In particular, the National Tax Service announced that it will operate the system carefully so that the burden on business operators does not increase through continuous improvement of the system because real-time income detection is performed for welfare purposes, not tax collection.

In more detail, the preparatory group establishes a data collection plan and provides customized individual guidance in writing or by mobile to businesses that employ human service providers and daily workers.

Income data collection is carried out in the direction of minimizing the burden of reporting on business operators. In particular, small businesses whose penalties are deferred are also required to report monthly income data due to the reorganization of the system, so we plan to provide convenience for reporting such as individual information and operation of a report window.

Finally, in order to increase the suitability of income data, it plans to correct errors such as personal information and income details and link them to the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation in real time.

In order to minimize the burden on business operators arising from the shortening of the income data submission cycle, the National Tax Service announced that it will devise various measures to improve the convenience of reporting and actively communicate with relevant business entity organizations and tax representatives.

In addition, through close collaboration with related ministries such as the Ministry of Materials and Employment, the company plans to make thorough preparations so that the real-time income monitoring system can be implemented smoothly.

Meanwhile, the head of the National Tax Service, Kim Dae-ji, emphasized at the Hyun Pan-sik, “The Income Data Management Preparatory Group is the core foundation of the National Tax Service to systematically establish real-time income detection tasks, and will play a part in the efficient welfare delivery system as an income data hub.”

In addition, he urged, “Since the IRS will play a role ranging from traditional taxation administration to welfare administration support through real-time income detection work, all of the preparatory groups will work together to execute it without disruption.”
