It was reported that former President Lee Myung-bak sent a reply to a student who sent a letter to him in prison on the 10th. This letter became a hot topic when a netizen who received a reply from former President Lee posted it on an internet bulletin board.

In a phone call with News 1 on the 15th, former presidential lawyer Lee confirmed that “I recently heard that a student sent a letter with a poster photo and a letter from the former presidential candidate and sent a direct reply.”

Former President Lee, who was discharged from Seoul National University Hospital last month and was transferred to Anyang Prison, wrote in reply, “I was grateful for receiving the words of encouragement.”

In addition, he said, “I was glad to receive the letter unexpectedly,” and “I hope we can meet with a bright smile someday.” In addition, he added, “I hope that the future of the students and the family will be full of happiness.”

Former President Lee is in jail after 17 years of imprisonment, 13 billion won in fine, and 5.78 billion won in additional fines were confirmed in October last year on charges of embezzlement of dozens of funds and bribery from Samsung.
