President Lim first requested the termination of the employment contract for personal reasons, and although the company held a few times, it is known that he decided to respect the intention of President Lim, thanks for his hard work and achievements.
Although the specific resignation date has not been disclosed, the resignation date is adjusted to match the final approval date for the business strategy for fiscal year 2021 (March 2021 to February 2022), so it is expected in the middle of this month. President Lim Il-soon made a relationship with Homeplus in November 2015 as Head of Finance (CFO, Vice President). Two years later, in May 2017, he became the head of the management support division (COO, senior vice president) and was promoted to the CEO in October of the same year.
He was the first female CEO in the distribution industry, including the Korean hypermarket industry, and at that time, President Lim’s inauguration attracted attention because he was the first person in the domestic distribution industry to break the’glass ceiling’ except for the owner’s family. .
