In the experience zone, you can check key information on the latest smartphones at a glance and compare specifications for each device. If you put the displayed smartphone on the signage, you can see various information such as color, purchase statistics by age group, and device specifications on the screen attached to the front. When two units are placed at the same time, a specification comparison table appears.

This mobile phone experience zone deserves a radical change in mobile phone purchase patterns. Previously, the selection of a cell phone model was largely driven by the recommendations of sales staff. No matter how much mobile phone they want to buy, some days the sales staff recommends that it is a model with more subsidies, so they purchase a different model from the one they originally bought. I had no choice but to hear the reason that the day I visited was the day when the disclosure subsidies for the cell phone I wanted to buy were less.

Since the U+ Untact Store is an unmanned store, it is free from excessive sales by sales staff, and has the advantage of being able to compare only with the specifications of a mobile phone before choosing a plan. In particular, for MZ generation users who value camera functions, in the experience zone, you can also compare photo samples taken with the device’s camera.

After passing through the experience zone and deciding which cell phone to buy, it’s time to open it. He entered the self-opening zone under the burden of having to choose the rate plan and choose the discount system well. In a quiet room, touch the tablet to select the model you want to purchase, the type of subscription (new subscription, device change, number transfer), rate plan, and discount type.

Time to choose a plan. First, a list of recommended plans appears, and I clicked’Recommend a plan that suits me’ to select a plan that fits my mobile phone and data purchase pattern. In the first step, there are four steps, and you have to choose between’high-performance 5G mobile phone with fast speed’ and’LTE mobile phone with excellent price/performance.’

In the second stage, you have to choose the age group, the average monthly data usage in the third stage, and the desired benefits (music listening free, U+ membership VVIP+ rating, Netflix free, cloud game GeForce Now free, etc.). In addition, if there is a discount type of other telecommunications companies that have been previously combined, it takes time due to the process of checking with the telecommunications company, and it is possible to consult with a counselor. Accordingly, the opening time can be extended to 30 minutes or more.

In the case of reporters, I know that they are receiving a 30% discount because they are connected to the family and the Internet of other carriers. If you do not know this well in advance and have to visit an unmanned store and choose a rate plan and discount type yourself, there is a fear that you will throw away good discount products.

There are also a number of users who have the same concerns as reporters. According to an LG Uplus official, pre-evaluation was conducted before opening the U+ Smart Store, and like the reporters, many users wanted to be evaluated whether the rate plan and discount type they chose were appropriate.
