“I’m a confirmed person, get tested” to the repairman who fixed the boiler.

An absurd incident occurred when a boiler repairman visited the house of a confirmed patient who hid the fact of the corona 19 infection and was self-contained.

According to Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province on the 23rd, recently, a boiler repair technician A visited a house after receiving a call from the landlord that the boiler had broken in the house where the tenant lives.

After repairing the boiler, Mr. A, trying to return, heard absurd words from tenant B. He said he was infected with Corona 19, so he was asked to get tested. Mr. B, a Chinese resident, was waiting for admission to a life treatment center at his home after being tested positive for Corona 19.

Mr. A was immediately tested for Corona 19 and, fortunately, was negative. However, it was classified as a close contact and went into self-isolation for 14 days. It is said that Mr. A had to worry about living during the period of self-isolation due to the nature of his job in the high season in winter.

Bucheon City is considering whether to accuse Mr. B for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Management Act. According to the Central Defense Response Headquarters (Bang Daebon), corona 19 confirmed persons should not contact other people while waiting at home before entering the treatment center. In case of violation, a fine of up to 1 year imprisonment or 10 million won will be imposed.

An official from Bucheon City said, “Mr. B is still undergoing treatment at the Life Therapy Center.”
