‘Second Soranet’ appeared, spreading illegal filmings taken in toilets and hospitals. The illegal film sharing site was actively operated by posting a notice saying “Please bypass and access” until the 17th, after the police initiated the investigation. As the controversy intensifies, the site and Twitter account are currently closed.

As of last month, a total of more than 70,000 people visited this illegal site, which was opened in July of last year. There are a number of illegal filmings on this site, including sex videos taken without the consent of the other party. Filming locations are diverse, including toilets, hospitals, women’s baths, and houses. Internet Protocol (IP) cameras are hacked to expose the interior of the house as it is. It is a pet cam that shoots dogs or cats, and hacks the camera of a laptop computer.

The illegal filmings on the site spread in the form of self-sufficiency. Points are accumulated when registered members shoot or upload illegal filmings they have secured, and they can purchase video materials of other members with these points. The point price is different for each video, and if the video is not uploaded, the points can be traded through virtual currency. It operated similarly to Room N in that it uses virtual currency to block user tracking.

The reason why an illegal filming site called’○○ Ilbo’ came up on the surface was when it appeared in the Cheong Wa Dae national petition on the 4th. Petitioner said, “It was first opened in July of last year, and as of February 21 this year, it has close to 70,000 members and more than 30,000 daily visitors.” It has a very similar pattern to the controversial Soranet in 2015.” The petitioner then urged the government to investigate the site and prepare measures to prevent recurrence. The petition obtained 70,000 consents as of the 19th.

What should I do if I don’t get caught in the’Achong Act’ Adult video is also subject to punishment

As the illegal site became controversial, the Namcho community (a community with a large number of male users) also posted a post asking for lawyer advice and sharing the content. “It doesn’t matter if it’s not a video that gets stuck in the acheong method.”

However, as the Sexual Violence Penalty Act was revised since May 19, last year, the sentencing of digital sex crimes has also been strengthened. Even if it is not sexually exploited children and adolescents, it can be punished for possession, purchase, and storage of illegal filmings or copies.
Attorney Park Chan-seong (Pohang University Human Rights Advisory Committee) said, “In the case of adult videos, people who possess, purchase, store, and watch videos and reproductions that did not consent to distribution even if there was consent at the time of filming, as well as illegal films without the consent of the other party. They can be imprisoned for up to three years or fined up to 30 million won.”

Meanwhile, although one year has passed since the’N-bang incident’, the damage caused by illegal filming is on the rise. According to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family on the 16th, the total number of crime victims received at the Digital Sex Crime Victim Support Center last year was 4953, more than doubled from the previous year (2087). As for the type of digital sex crime, illegal shooting was the most common with 2239 cases. Mr. Kim, a 27-year-old office worker, said, “I thought that people who consumed illegal filmings after the N-Bang incident became alarmed, but nothing has changed.” I confessed.
