“I’ll tear the doctor’s gown” …’Criticism of Jomin’ Im Hyun-taek was threatened by phone

“What did Jomin do so wrong? Jomin became a doctor and said that he wanted to tear the doctor’s gown, so I’ll go and tear it up.”
This is part of a phone call to the office of the president of the Korean Pediatrics and Adolescents Association (Socheong Medical Center), who criticized Cho Min (30), the daughter of former Justice Minister Cho Kook, for passing the national examination.

Chairman Lim called the office and sued the police on charges of intimidation and obstruction of Citizen A, who ranted at an employee. Chairman Lim insisted that Mr. A, who was resentful for his criticism of Cho’s acceptance of the doctor’s decision, made rants such as “There is nothing that can’t be found” and “I’ll kill him.”

On the 22nd, Chairman Lim announced on his Facebook page that “a person who made several calls to the Office of the Prosecutors’ Office to intimidate and obstructed his work was criminally accused of intimidation and obstruction to the Seoul Mapo Police Station in the afternoon.” He said, “I intend not to forgive me,” and said, “I will proceed with a civil lawsuit after a criminal decision.”

According to the complaint released by Chairman Lim, Citizen A, who called the office of the Socheong Medical Association at 10:38 am on the 22nd, saying that he was a patient in his 70s, asked, “Where is Lim Hyun-taek working?” Mr. A said to the employee who received the phone call, “Because Jo-min became a doctor and told me that he wanted to tear up his doctor’s gown, I’ll go and tear it up.” In addition, Mr. A, who called again 8 minutes later, continued his threatening remark, saying, “I will kill (Chairman Lim).”

Earlier, Chairman Lim criticized Mr. Cho when he passed the national examination for doctors, saying, “People in charge of the situation in which the lives of patients were endangered by unqualified persons should immediately resign.” Chairman Lim said on his Facebook page on the 16th, “Today 130,000 doctors and medical students ripped off their doctor’s license and gown about the situation in which an unqualified person who was illegally admitted to medical school dressed in a white gown and threatened the life of a patient. I am angry and deplorable enough to want.”
