When Supreme Court Chief Kim Myung-soo met with Senior Judge Im Seong-geun of Busan High Court last year to discuss personal issues, but revealed that he had never spoken about the impeachment of the judge, Judge Lim said, “The Supreme Court has spoken about the impeachment of the judge.”

Deputy Judge Lim said, “Currently, Judge Lim’s resignation is being kept in the Supreme Court.”
Deputy Judge Im’s lawyer added, “Even though Judge Lim himself said that he did not want to report or confirm anything about the report today, the Supreme Court inevitably made a different announcement this afternoon to reveal his position in order to confirm the facts.”

According to reports, Judge Lim visited Supreme Court Chief Kim immediately after undergoing surgery due to deteriorating health last year and resigned, saying, “It is difficult to work as a judge because of a sick body.” Then, Chief Justice Kim said, “The debate on impeachment of the judge is in progress at the National Assembly (involving the judicial Nongdan),” and said, “If you receive the resignation, you can’t impeach it.”
