Suspicion of school violence in the volleyball world continues. The twin sisters of Lee Jae-young and Da-young Da-young and the OK savings bank players Song Myung-geun and Shim Myung-seop were punished with severe punishment for admitting to the abuse, and this time a new female athlete was suspicious of abusing.
On the 16th, an internet community posted a message stating,’I am a victim of a new professional female volleyball player. The author said, “I was subjected to school violence in elementary school, and one of the major perpetrators recently joined the A volleyball team,” he said. “I contacted the club on February 8th, but there was no contact for a week after saying that they would contact me in 2-3 days.” Insisted.
He continued verbal abuse such as “‘It’s like a beggar’,’dirty’,’die’,’XX year’,’X God’, and so on. “I said, “If you die, I will dance a sunny dance at the funeral.” When asked why, I only said “I hate it.”
He said, “On February 10th, the parents of the perpetrator contacted me and apologized roughly, and I tried not to properly admit the sin by adding words such as,’If my daughter stops playing volleyball, will it be comfortable, will your panic disorder disappear?’ “The perpetrator and their parents told the club that it was just a quarrel.”
He added, “The club said that there was nothing it could do and asked to see an agreement through a lion face-to-face. I was disappointed with this attitude and filed a complaint with the Volleyball Association, so the club asked for a meeting and asked for evidence.” He said, “At the time, all the evidence was torn by the perpetrators,” he said. “Now, only my feelings written in the textbook and years of psychotherapy (records) remain. I was disappointed with the attitude of denying my sin.”
Regarding this, an official from the A team explained, “I contacted the club on the 8th. I informed the school violence and requested that the player be expelled. I talked to the player to find out the fact, but it was different from the victim’s claim.” He said, “We plan to take action after finding out additional facts.” The player started playing volleyball when he was in the first year of high school, and he entered professional volleyball through a rookie draft last year.
Endless suspicion of abuse… Interested in overseas
Due to suspicion of academia, the volleyball world is experiencing an unwanted fame. World volleyball news headlines are being treated as suspicions of Korean school abuse. ‘World of Bali’, which delivers news of world volleyball, reported on the 15th (local time) that “Sisters Lee Jae-young and Da-young were designated as harassers and were expelled from the national team and their team.”

British’Daily Mail’ also delivered this news with the title of “Twin volleyball stars were suspended from qualification for the national team as their past of school violence became known.” He pointed out that “Korea is a sports powerhouse that ranks in the top 10 in the Summer and Winter Olympics, but physical and verbal violence is rampant.”
In addition, Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post (SCMP) and AFP Telecom also announced the fall of twin volleyball stars.
The trembling clubs, what are our players?
As suspicions of academia come out one after another, the clubs are also tense. In addition to the twin sisters and the two players at the OK Savings Bank who were disciplined after the suspicion of abusing was confirmed as a fact, it was reported that two additional players were suspicious: a player from team A and another player from team B. Currently, the club is conducting its own investigation.
