“I was thinking of investing in a DSLR to take pictures of my family, but with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, there is no need.”

Samsung Electronics held the’Galaxy Pack 2021′ online at midnight on the 15th and unveiled the premium smartphone’Galaxy S21′ in the first half.

Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy ecosystem by emphasizing the three keywords best, innovation, and connection at the event.

Due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), this Galaxy S21 Unpack was held only online without an offline event, like last year’s Galaxy Note 20 Unpack event.

The event lasted about 70 minutes, started at midnight on the 15th and ended around 1:15 am. About 300,000 people accessed the Samsung Electronics YouTube channel and watched the real-time unpack event.

In this unpack event, like the previous work, Noh Tae-moon, head of the wireless business division of Samsung Electronics, appeared and opened the door.

In the Galaxy Unpack 2021, the premium smartphone’Galaxy S21′ series and wireless earphone’Galaxy Buzz Pro’ were unveiled in the first half.

In this Galaxy S21 series, Samsung Electronics has chosen a strategy that separates the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus from the Galaxy S21 Ultra and clearly divides the target audience. Previously, Samsung Electronics had differentiated the top model, Ultra from other models, but this time, it showed more and more differences in specifications, emphasizing ultra performance, and clearly dividing the options according to the audience.

In particular, Samsung Electronics greatly emphasized the performance of the Galaxy S21 Ultra in this unpack, and confidently introduced it as “the best of the best”. “I was thinking of investing in a DSLR to take pictures of my family,” said Charlie McCarren, Global Corporate Strategy Officer. “It provides an experience.”

Galaxy S21 Ultra is equipped with a rear quad camera composed of two 10 million pixel dual pixel telephoto cameras and a 40 million pixel front camera. It is possible to shoot 4K video at 60fps using all five cameras on the front and rear.

The first Galaxy smartphone is equipped with a dual optical lens system of 3x and 10x optical, respectively, in a dual-folded form, and you can get the best results by operating a suitable camera according to the distance to the subject. You can shoot up to 100 times with digital zoom.

“Our goal is to enable anyone to take professional-looking photos and videos,” said Won-joon Choi, Vice President of Strategic Product Development Team 1 of Samsung Electronics’ Wireless Business Division.

In the Galaxy S21 series, AI technology has been greatly strengthened, and the camera performance has improved significantly compared to the previous one. After capturing a high-quality 8K video, you can obtain a photo of 33 million pixels through the capture, and the improved space zoom function allows you to shoot a distant subject clearly and stably.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra also supports the S Pen for the first time in the Galaxy S series. Samsung Electronics announced that it plans to release the S Pen for the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the new S Pen Pro.

The wireless earphone’Galaxy Buzz Pro’, which was unveiled along with the Galaxy S21 series on this day, also improved significantly compared to the previous one. The Galaxy Buzz Pro adopts the design of the previous work’Galaxy Buzz Live’, but it is produced in a’kernel type’ rather than an’open type’.

The active noise canceling (ANC) function is further improved than the previous one, blocking up to 99% of external noise. On the contrary, it also has a function for listening to ambient sound, so when the user speaks, it automatically switches to the corresponding function to reduce the sound of music being played.

In addition, for the first time in the Galaxy Buds series, windshield technology is applied to provide clear call quality even in the windy exterior.

“The’Galaxy Buzz Pro’ is a small earphone, and Samsung’s technological innovation is concentrated in a small earphone, and it provides an optimal experience in any situation,” said Roh Tae-moon, president of Samsung Electronics’ wireless business division.

The connectivity between Galaxy devices has also been strengthened. The Galaxy Buds Pro supports an automatic switch function between a Galaxy smartphone and a tablet, so if a user is using the Galaxy Buds Pro on the Galaxy Tab and attempts to receive a call with the Galaxy Smartphone, the earphones are automatically connected to the smartphone.

In this unpack, Samsung Electronics emphasized the connectivity of Galaxy, saying that it expanded the ecosystem to other products beyond the ecosystem of Samsung devices.

Representatively, Samsung Electronics will further expand collaboration with Google. Samsung Electronics provides a larger smart home ecosystem by making Google’s’Nest’ product compatible with SmartThings.

The SmartThings ecosystem also includes cars. With the SmartThings app, you can check the vehicle status from anywhere, and you can turn the engine on or off from the app.

Samsung Electronics explained, “We have worked closely with Google to create Android Auto to experience the power of smartphones in cars,” and “we have been working closely to improve the user experience on the display in the car.” Android Auto and SmartThings are linked, so you can control devices in your home from the car control screen without a smartphone.

In the future, Samsung Electronics is also planning to launch a digital car key service that opens a car door without a car key.
