On this day, the 31st Department of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Agreement was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and detained in court for former Seoul Mayor’s secretary office employee, Jeong Mo, who was accused of quasi rape. In addition, he ordered the completion of a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program.
During the trial, Jung argued that the victim’s post-traumatic stress disorder was caused by former Mayor Park Won-soon, not her own. The judge admitted that there was a fact of sexual assault by former mayor Park Won-soon, judging the causal relationship between Jeong’s sexual assault and the victim’s post-traumatic stress disorder.
While the victim was working as a secretary to former Mayor Park Won-soon at the Seoul City Hall, the judiciary sent a nasty text message and photos of her underwear, saying “I want to smell OO”, “I’m in good shape”, “Please send me a picture” I admitted to sending a text message.
The court also admitted that the former mayor Park Won-soon sent text messages such as “I don’t know about men”, “I need to know men to get married,” and “I’ll tell you about sex” even though the victim moved to another department.
The judge said, “It must be true that the victim suffered considerable mental suffering from the sexual harassment of former Mayor Park Won-soon.” At the same time, the victim was shocked by the actions of former Mayor Park Won-soon, but it was determined that Jung was the root cause of the victim’s treatment.
