“I want to eat again”… Memories of sweets returned after 15 years

On the 5th, Orion announced on the 5th that it will re-release the cookie’Wackle’, which was discontinued in response to constant requests from consumers, after 15 years. Orion reported that it decided to re-release after over 150 requests from consumers to re-launch Wakle through its official website, SNS, and customer centers last year alone.

Wakle, which was loved for its unique crunchy texture and sweet and salty (sweet + salty) taste, reinterpreted’pretzel’ into a bite-sized mini size and was sold from the early to mid-2000s. It is characterized by a unique texture that breaks in the mouth when bitten, and the sound of’wagjak’ made when chewing sounds similar to the name of the confectionery,’Wakle’, creating a different kind of fun. In particular, the sweet and salty seasoning captivated the tastes of consumers at the time and created a wakle enthusiast.

The returning Wakle uses cream onion flavor seasoning to realize the’onion baguette taste’ in the memories as it is, while at the same time enhancing the attractiveness of the sweet and salty taste that pulls the more you eat it. At the same time, the savory and unique crunchy texture of baguette bread was upgraded by going through the same dough maturation process as making bread.

Until now, Orion has been listening to consumers’ opinions through various channels and reflecting them on their products. In particular, the’Taste of the Sun’,’Chicken Pop’, and’Baebae’, which were re-launched at the request of consumers, are gaining much love and have established themselves as staples.

An official from Orion said, “By actively reflecting the opinions of consumers, we have re-released Wakle’s unique crunchy texture and a sweet and salty taste that keeps your hands going.” I look forward to receiving it,” he said.
