Recently, an article was published in a community raising suspicion of bullying Lee Hyun-joo. Later, the controversy sparked with the addition of the author’s revelation post claiming to be a high school alumni of Lee Hyun-ju.
Accordingly, the agency DSP Media Chok said, “Since the debut was confirmed, Lee Hyun-joo has been suffering from difficulties such as not being able to faithfully participate in the team activities due to physical and mental problems. Not only Lee Hyun-ju at the time, but also other members due to the conflict caused by this, also suffered tangible and intangible damages. I have been through,” he said.
Despite the continued clarification, the controversy did not disappear easily. As various rumors and suspicions toward the members were reproduced, the agency announced a legal response.
At the same time, he announced, “I will take a strong civil and criminal legal response to all those who have posted articles on the Internet community, claiming that they are family and acquaintances of Lee Hyun-joo.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyun-joo debuted as a member of April in 2015. After that, in May 2016, he stopped his activities due to poor health, and in October of that year, he withdrew from the team on the grounds of becoming an actor.
