On the 22nd (local time), CNN and others reported on the story of Semal Centurk, a man living in Trabzon, northern Turkey, and his dog Boncook, saying, “The dog is the best friend of the person.”

Reportedly, on the 14th, when Centurk was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, his dog, Boncook, followed an ambulance to the hospital.

The staff who found the dog in front of the hospital informed the Centurk family, and Centurk’s children brought Boncook back home. But even when the puppy came home again, he escaped and headed to the hospital every day.

The hospital security guard said, “Boncook came every day at around 9 am and waited until night,” and said, “Even when the door was open, the dog only slightly raised his head and did not come in.”

While Boncook was waiting for the owner in front of the hospital, hospital staff provided food, and Centurk communicated with the dog through the window in the hospitalization room.

Boncook’s wait for the owner continued for 6 days afterwards, and on the 20th, a moving scene was filmed in which Senturk was allowed to go out and reunited with his dog for a while in a wheelchair. That evening, Centurk was completely discharged and returned home with Boncook.

Centurk, who has lived with dogs for the past nine years, told the local media, “Boncook is very important to me. I also wanted to keep seeing Boncook.”
