According to the game industry on the 9th, users are protesting as it belatedly revealed that some grades that can be achieved by purchasing probability-type items from Maple Story have been blocked at the source.

On the 5th, the Maple Story management team revealed the probability of a purchase item’Cube’ that can change the potential option of the in-game equipment item or raise it to a higher grade.

This is a recent probabilistic item controversy, which was disclosed by Nexon.

However, it is described that some potential ability options such as’Increase Boss Monster Attack Damage’ and’Ignore Monster Defense Rate’ can only be set up to two out of a total of three.

Nexon explained, “This is the purpose of preventing boss hunting when the Legendary potential was first added in August 2011, or excessively exceeding the balance threshold for item acquisition.”

In other words, it was blocked in case that too strong items came out and hurt the game.

However, the problem is that the users were unaware of this fact.

MapleStory users called’Bobobo’ and’Ignore Monster Defense Rate’ 3 as’Boobangbang’ to have 3 potential abilities of’Boss Monster Attack Damage’. It’s a grade that couldn’t be achieved.

This is a different part from the recent controversy that the probability-type item has a rare possibility.

One user exclaimed, “Is the money spent 10 years on a lotto that didn’t exist in the first place?”

However, there is a possibility that the controversy over probable items that are already on fire will expand even more intensely as there is not much backlash, such as a movement to respond legally among some users.

A lawyer who works for a large game company in Korea said, “If you do not notify this fact, you may be deceived by the user.”
