Recently, a yellow post-it stating that he is looking for his son was stuck on the railing of Jamsu Bridge, and Kim Seong-hoon, 25, who is known as a ‘yellow note on Jamsu Bridge’, was found dead 17 days after his disappearance in the Han River.

On the 25th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul said, “While searching while expanding the scope of the Han River Patrol, we found Kim’s body in the Han River under Dongjak Bridge at 11 am the previous day.” Dongjak Bridge is about 2km away from Jamsu Bridge, where Mr. Kim stopped his vehicle. No specifics were found in the body. The body is expected to be handed over to the bereaved family without an autopsy for a funeral.

Kim’s family posted an article saying they found Kim on the online community’Bobae Dream’, where he posted an article about his disappearance. The author, who is believed to be Mr. Kim’s older sister, said, “I got a call from the police station to my dad on the morning of the 24th,” and said, “I went to Seoul to check how long our youngest was injured.”

The author wrote, “Sunghun will take him to Haenam,” and “My parents would have been very hungry for our son, so let’s go ahead and say that we have to prepare a lot of delicious things, and we keep crying. He added, “I am very grateful to the people who visited, worried and comforted me like my family after Seonghun disappeared this time, and well held us in case we might be shaken.”

Kim disappeared after parking a vehicle at Jamsu Bridge on the 7th. A citizen who considered a car that was left unattended for a long time reported it to the police on the 12th and started the search for the first time. Lightning bullets remained in the rear seat of the vehicle, and the black box video was cut off after entering the submerged bridge. A one-minute video was also found on a cell phone in the car, suggesting an extreme choice. Upon hearing this news, Kim’s family went to Tokyo in Haenam to search for a son.

In particular, the Kim family said, “Son, I love you a lot. Mom is in Seoul right now. I’m looking for you,” and so on, and the story spread, consoling many people.
