General Hong’s eldest son, Hong Yang-soon, entered the Hongbeom-do medical unit at Bukcheong in 1907, and died during a battle with Japanese troops in Jeongpyeong, Hamnam the following year. In the manuscript of 『Hongbeomdo Diary』, there is a passage in which General Hong described the situation at the time.

General Hong Beom-do, who died in Kazakhstan in 1943, was awarded the Founding Medal in 1963. When designated as a nationally managed cemetery, the cemetery is renovated and repaired, dedicated management staff are assigned, and information and convenience facilities are installed.
