The police found a party in which the driver and passengers switched seats after seeing the scene of the drunk driving crackdown. The crackdown revealed that the passengers were more drunk than the driver.

The Northern Gyeonggi Police Agency announced on the 26th that it had arrested Mr. A (41) and Mr. B (39) on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.

According to the police, on the 25th at 11:10 p.m., Mr. B and Mr. B changed seats after seeing the scene of a drunk driving crackdown at the Bulam Mountain Tollgate while driving the Seoul Metropolitan Area 1 Beltway Expressway in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

After receiving the 112 report that “the driver and the passenger seated at the drinking control site,” the police delivered it to the field workers and stopped the vehicle where Mr. A and others were riding. On-site workers investigated Mr. A and others based on the vehicle black box check and witness statements, and conducted a drinking measurement.

As a result of drinking alcohol, A’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.03% or more and less than 0.08%, which corresponds to the level of driver’s license suspension. Mr. B was intoxicated, exceeding the blood alcohol concentration of 0.08%, which is the level of driver’s license cancellation. It was found that Mr. A drove about 25km while drunk, and Mr. B drove about 50m in front of the crackdown site.

Meanwhile, the North Gyeonggi Police Agency announced that 13 police stations and highway patrols in the building for 2 hours starting from 10 pm on the 25th conducted a Japanese alcohol crackdown at 14 places connected to the highway, and found 14 people.

Among those who were caught, 9 had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher, which is the level of cancellation of a driver’s license, and five had a blood alcohol concentration of less than 0.03 to 0.08%, which is a stop value. The police plan to mobilize all of their capabilities by continuously strengthening the drinking control system throughout the year, regardless of day or night.
