I caught Mi-Jeok-sal on the road… [영상]

The place where Vice Minister of Justice Yong-gu Yong-gu was drunk and assaulted a taxi driver was confirmed as a’general road’. It is contrary to the explanation of the police that the case where the taxi stopped was “in the apartment complex,” and that the law on the aggravated punishment for certain crimes (the special rate law) was not applied and the internal investigation was terminated (the case was closed without passing it to the prosecution).

Around 1 pm on the 27th, in front of the main gate of an apartment complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul. This is the place where a taxi driver was caught in a taxi by Lee, who was drunk on the 6th of last month. I met A, a taxi driver who had been damaged, and asked where the accident occurred. “It was in front of the security room where I could see the 101 apartment”, the answer came back. This place is a road with’official road name’.

This is also in the data that the police recently submitted to the National Assembly. According to an incident report received by the police on the 25th, Rep. Cho Su-jin, a member of the power of the people, said that the taxi driver stopped the car to awaken Lee on the street in front of the entrance of the apartment complex. It means that the accident point was a general road.

However, when the case was first announced, the police explained that in the case of a 2017 Constitutional Court decision, taxis stopped in the apartment complex and the special price law could not be applied. The decision is 1) A place where there is no fear of impairing public traffic safety and orderin 2) If the driver parks or stops the car without intention to continue driving, it is difficult to apply the special price law.Contains the content. Based on this, the police determined that the place where Vice Minister Lee assaulted the taxi driver was’just not’, so there was no fear of impeding traffic safety order.

However, contrary to the police explanation, three or four vehicles and delivery motorcycles went back and forth at the place where the incident took place. It was difficult to view as’just not’ without fear of disturbing traffic order. This is why some point out that the police overinterpreted the case law and applied only the simple assault crime to the vice minister, not the special price law.

The police explained that the’road’ was the right place where the accident occurred if it was the exact location. However, he said that he viewed it as’inside the complex’ because a road crosses between the same apartment complex. An official from the police explained, “When applying the Special Price Act, it is not just a road or not, but it is not seen.” “(Even if it is a road), it is comprehensively judged by taking into account the traffic situation on the road or where the car is standing.”
