The economy itself is bad due to the corona crisis, but the polarization is also intensifying.

In the fourth quarter of last year, when the third epidemic hit, both labor and business income fell sharply since the survey, and the gap between the high-income class and the poor has widened, but the lower class managed to avoid a decrease in income with disaster subsidies.

The income quintile multiplier indicates how many times the top 20% earned more than the bottom 20%.

Of course, the bigger the bigger the inequality is.

In the fourth quarter of last year, this figure was 4.72 times and 0.08 times more than a year ago, and it worsened again after the third quarter.

The average monthly income of households with the lowest 20% was 1.64 million won, an increase of 1.7% from a year ago, and the top 20% was 1,0026,000 won, an increase of 2.7%.

This is also a figure that includes public transfer income, such as disaster assistance and basic pensions, paid without consideration.

The market income quintile multiplier after this part was 7.82 times and nearly 1 times more than in the fourth quarter of last year before the corona crisis.

The government said, “We are seriously aware of the situation where the distribution has deteriorated for two consecutive quarters,” and said it will try to stabilize employment.

Of course, overall household earnings have deteriorated.

Earned income decreased by 0.5% and business income decreased by 5.1%, both of which were the largest declines in the fourth quarter since the 2003 statistics were written.

The average household income was 5,161,000 won, which was estimated to be 1.8%, thanks to the reduced income from public transfer income such as disaster assistance and basic pension.

I wasn’t sure when I would lose my job, so I couldn’t spend my lost income properly.

The average consumption propensity for the fourth quarter was 69.6%, and 696,000 won for earning 1 million won was the lowest in the fourth quarter.
