Starria is a vehicle that reflects Hyundai Motor’s future mobility design theme’Inside Out’. Inside Out is a concept that extends the spatiality and openness of interior design to exterior.

Through this, Staria has a curved exterior reminiscent of a spaceship, a spacious interior space, and a sense of openness.

Staria will be operated separately as a standard model and a luxury model’Staria Lounge’. The general model consists of more diverse trims such as tourer (9/11 seater) and cargo (3/5 seater), and Staria Lounge is operated with 7/9 seater.

The exterior of Staria creates a futuristic atmosphere with a sleek and clean design reminiscent of a spaceship.

The front part of the general model presents a sense of unity through the △thin and long sidelights (positioning lamps) and daytime running lights (DRL) that cross the hood and bumper △the radiator grille, headlamps, and bumpers of the same color as the car body.

The side part is the part that best shows the inside-out theme, and the belt line is lowered as much as possible and a panoramic window is applied to increase the sense of openness and visibility in the interior. This design was inspired by the car view found in hanok architecture, allowing passengers to feel the scenery outside the car window as an element of the interior space. In addition, the convenience of getting on and off was improved with high height and low ground clearance. The rear part further emphasized the sense of openness with vertical rear lamps and wide rear windows with a simple and sleek design.

Staria Lounge, a high-end model, has a differentiated design with premium sensibility. The front part of Staria Lounge has a three-dimensional mesh pattern grill, 8 ice cube-type Full LED headlamps and turn indicators to add a sense of volume.

In addition, the sophistication and luxury are emphasized through the chrome line surrounding the headlamp and the 18-inch diamond-patterned wheel with tinted brass color applied △ garnish at the front and rear of the bumper △ side mirror △ tinted brass chrome applied to the door handle.

In the rear part, the LED rear combination lamp with parametric pixel design and a lamp-shaped garnish are applied to the top of the lamp to give it a high-tech feel.

Staria’s interior is characterized by luxury and spaciousness inspired by the cruiser lounge that sails the sea.

Staria provides customers with a new travel experience and lifestyle with a spatiality that is most similar to a customized means of transportation (PBV).

Staria secured ample interior space with a high overall height (1990mm), long overall width (1995mm), and overall length (5255mm).

Hyundai Motors integrated the center fascia’s 10.25-inch infotainment and air conditioning conversion control system, and placed a color LCD cluster on the top of the dashboard to enhance driver usability and create a high-tech image.

In addition, various storage spaces were applied to the lower part of the cluster, the upper part of the overhead console, and the upper and lower part of the center fascia, pursuing practicality suitable for MPV. Following that, the convenience of passengers was maximized through a console that integrated various functions such as storage, cup holder, and USB port.

The Staria Lounge (7, 9-seater) features lounge-specific convenience specifications and ambient mood lamps for passengers.

The 7-seater is equipped with a premium relaxation seat that adjusts the balance of the spine by keeping the hips in close contact with the seat.

For the 9-seater, a swiveling seat that can rotate 180 degrees is applied to the second row. This allows passengers in rows 2 and 3 to face each other and talk to each other, as well as to conveniently install infant car seats through 90-degree rotation.

Staria Lounge offers a unique sensibility to customers by applying 64 colors of ambient mood lamps to the driver’s seat, passenger seat, center console, and door trim.

Lee Sang-yeop, executive director in charge of modern design, said, “Starria with the Inside Out theme is a new mobility that expands the space and openness of interior design to the outdoors.” It will satisfy the diverse needs of our business customers.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company plans to disclose specific specifications and prices by implementing a pre-contract with Starria from the 25th. In addition, in the first half of the year, it plans to be fully open to the public through the Digital World Premiere (the world’s first public event).
