On the 1st, Hyundai Motor Company announced that it achieved’Double Podium’ (two players from one team won the 3rd place) with the victory at the Arctic Rally Finland, the second competition of the 2021 WRC season, held in Rovaniemi, northern Finland on the 26th to 28th of last month (local time). For the first WRC event held in the Arctic Circle, the Hyundai World Rally Team competed in the’i20 Coupe WRC’ race car with three athletes, including Ott Tanak, Thierry Neuville, and Craig Breen.

Ott Tanak never allowed a reversal during a match, giving them their first 2021 WRC championship. Despite the snowy course, the average speed reached 121.66 km/h and the maximum speed reached 190 km/h. Thierry Neuville and Craig Brin were also in third and fourth places, respectively.

With this victory, Hyundai Motors added 47 points to the manufacturer’s integrated points and pursued the first-place Toyota team by 11 points.
