“Personal violence is the beginning”

“I haven’t seen, heard, or experienced what the revelators suggested at the time. I remember that Joo-yeop Hyun was a senior revered for his athletic skills and was not a person who would commit violence, but it is a pity that this happened.”

Mr. A and Mr. B, who identified Hyun’s juniors at Whimoon Middle and High School in Seoul, carefully expressed their stance in an interview with the Korea Economic Daily on the 17th. They explained that they lived in the sports team with community exposers. One of them added that he learned who he was through the listing posted by the revelator.

They said, “At the time, the discipline of the school was very strict, so we used to receive group spirits. At this time, it is true that it can be seen as school violence. I also went through it,” he said.

Mr. A said, “I think the current disclosure of being victimized (from the current player) at this time when the abuse was an issue was somewhat one-sided.” Personal errands, so-called’shuttles’ were commonplace. On the day off, I went to school to meet my seniors,” he explained.

He said, “I don’t think there’s a bit of awkwardness to claim that they’ve been damaged,” he said.

In addition, “It was said that the seniors were scared and ran away to the group, but we also had the experience of leaving the group to escape from the seniors of that grade. That is also what the juniors under them also experienced.”

Younger B, “Hyun Joo-yeop is rather a good senior”

They said that the violent culture of the sports department was the problem at the time, but not just Hyun. Mr. B said, “Everyone was harmed by the reversal of evil habits, but it is a pity that this happened just because Hyun is a famous person. At the time, he just worked hard and’Force’ was an extraordinary senior,” he said.

Mr. B, who has been asking his best regards with Hyun until the last two years, said he was “unfortunate” about this situation. He said, “Isn’t it 30 years ago?” “These days, the problem of school abuse is being raised, but it was a time when it was taken for granted to exercise while being correct. The current senior I know is rather a good senior.”

He said, “I have a memory of encouraging me and giving my shoes to my juniors, saying,’I have to work hard to follow my brother.’

He added, “When I was a high school student, I was a national representative, so I was of course admired for my skills, and I couldn’t touch it.”

On the 14th, an online community posted a post titled “The Truth about H, the best basketball player of the day”. The author is a two-year junior of Mr. H’s school, and he also uploaded a photo of the certificate that he won the grand prize in the 1992 Autumn National Basketball Federation for Men and Women. After that, it became known that Mr. H is Mr. Hyun.

The author said, △I had to get permission from Mr. H to go to the hospital because I was sick. When no one with a footprint on it did not come out, they were scolded as a group.

He said, “Because of not being able to withstand the harassment of H, 13 juniors in the first and second grades ran away as a group, and they were called’Hyeonsan-gun’, which is a nickname for Yeonsan. “My friend was beaten with a chessboard, and his head was ripped and stitched. Mr. H was’the end of the hak’,” said a friend of Mr. Hyun’s junior in middle school.
