Brocade Survey Results Announced… The biggest challenge is’network security’

Brocade, a global data center network solution company, announced that hybrid cloud was the largest IT spend this year as a result of a survey of over 1200 networking distributors and resellers around the world. The survey was conducted to help Brocade and its partners identify changing business needs and explore strategic networking solutions accordingly.

In this survey, 24% of respondents predicted that hybrid cloud will be the most expensive to deploy, followed by network virtualization and data capacity growth. In addition, the Brocade product portfolio has a competitive advantage in network security, hybrid cloud management, and data center bandwidth management services for global enterprises.

The most important reason channel partners chose Brocade as a vendor was the difference in technology, followed by solutions and brands that have already been proven in the market.

Brocade Korea Governor Lee Yong-gil said, “Brocade will continue to provide its partners with innovative technologies to support next-generation IP and market-proven solutions in 2016, while continuing to strive for better brand recognition.” “We are grateful for our members for providing good insights and will help us support better programs, solutions and partnerships in the future.”

27% of Brocade channel partners said that their customers’ top challenge in 2016 was network security, and 21% of channel partners cited security management as one of the challenges in a hybrid cloud environment. They then responded that the data center bandwidth requirement is the next difficult task to solve.

In particular, he said he predicted that the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data will be very important factors for resellers within the next two years.

29% believe that IoT will become an important trend within a year, and 40% say it will become a major trend only for some specialized resellers. On the other hand, 67% of respondents predicted that it would take five years for IoT to become a major trend, and 23% said it would be a meaningful trend only for some specialized resellers.

In addition, channel partners’ top five business priorities over the next five years will be sticking to the current growth strategy (44%) and entering the new vertical industry market (40%). Focusing on upgrading technology capabilities (33%), efforts to expand global markets (27%), and advancing into new fields by focusing on new vendor brands or solution types (21%).

On the other hand, Channel Partners said that the reason customers want to apply open source standards-based data center networking technology is 49% because of agility, flexibility, and innovation, and 14% because it is easy to develop compatible solutions between vendors. 10% cited the effect of reducing dependency or dependence on specific vendors.
