As a bill to deprive a doctor sentenced to a sentence of more than a’safe’ sentence passed the National Assembly’s Health and Welfare Committee, the Korean Medical Association is strongly protesting, such as pulling out a strike card, food columnist Hwang Gyo-ik said, “I will not give a corona vaccine injection. “Is a doctor really needed in our society?” he sharply established a confrontation.
Hwang wrote in an article on his Facebook page on the 22nd, saying, “A professional who throws out the ethics of work must deprive of its qualifications to maintain a healthy society.”
At the same time, Mr. Hwang also wrote, “There is no future in a society where extreme egoism strikes the plate.”
Earlier, on the 19th, the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee decided on an amendment to the medical law that could revoke the licenses of doctors sentenced to prisoners or higher for committing violent crimes such as murder, robbery, and sexual assault.
However, if a person commits a crime of negligence or injuries during his/her medical practice, he/she is not subject to revoke of his/her license even if he/she is punished by the imprisonment. The bill also made it possible to revoke a license if it was issued in a fraudulent way.

In response, the medical association took out a strike card again. Chairman of the Medical Association, Choi, strongly rebelled, saying that cooperation in the vaccine could be completely stopped.
Chairman Choi said in his remarks, “The bill to revoke the licenses of doctors sentenced to more than a safe has been issued by the National Assembly Legislative Law on the 21st, before the’second meeting of the Joint Committee on Corona 19 Vaccination’ at the Korea Health Promotion Development Institute in Jung-gu, Seoul. If the committee decides, all the cooperation systems related to corona 19 treatment and vaccination will collapse.”
On the 20th, the chairman of the 16 provincial and provincial medical associations of the Korean Medical Association made a statement against the amendment to the medical law on the 20th, saying, “It is absolutely unacceptable.”
Regarding this, the Korea Medical Association said, “If this bill is passed, we will start a full-scale struggle, such as a general strike by doctors across the country.”
The Korea Medical Association explained that the reason for opposing the amendment was that “the medical profession is indiscriminately deprived of the freedom of job performance in addition to the punishment according to the court judgment, resulting in the same consequences as aggravated punishment.”
It is a position that even if a medical practitioner dies due to negligence while driving and is sentenced to imprisonment and probation, he will not be able to conduct medical treatment for many years.
