French professional footballer Bordeaux Hwang Eui-jo (29) scored double digits for the first time after advancing to Europe.

On the 4th (local time), Eui-Jo Hwang started in Strasbourg, the home game of the 31st round of the French League in the 2020-21 season held at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France.

Hwang Eui-jo scored his first goal in the extra time in the first half behind by 1-3. Laurent Koscielny took a penalty kick from an opponent’s foul and succeeded as a kicker. It is three consecutive goals and is the 10th goal in the season. Hwang Eui-jo scored double digits in the second season after signing with Bordeaux in July 2019.

Hwang Eui-jo shot several threatening shots even after the penalty kick, but he did not go directly to the goalkeeper or out of the goal and connected to the goal. He was replaced by Sekumara in the 34th minute of the second half.

Bordeaux failed to score a make-up goal in the second half and lost 2-3. He was in 13th place with 36 points (10 wins, 6 draws and 15 losses).

Hwang Eui-jo tries to score the most goals in the French league for Korean players in the remaining seven games. If two goals are scored, the 12 goals (33 games) set by Park Joo-young (then AS Monaco) in the 2010-11 season will be tied, and a new record will be written with three goals.
