The police investigated the suspicion that incumbent police officers and court officials were involved in the mask fraud sale case. The police were found to be considering applications for arrest warrants.

According to the police on the 15th, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station is investigating police officer A and Jeonju district law official B, who belong to the Jeonju Wansan Police Station, for fraud. It is known that C, a former gangster who was investigated as a sales plan, is already under arrest.

They are charged with selling 400,000 masks to Mr. D, who was looking for a quarantine mask for company supply in March last year, when it was difficult to obtain a mask due to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) epidemic. They are also reported to have been suspicious of falsifying mask test reports.

It is known that Mr. C introduced Mr. A, a police officer, to Mr. D as his real uncle and proposed a deal.

It is reported that Mr. A directly guided the inside of the mask factory in Jeonju, Jeonbuk to Mr. D. Mr. B is also accused of conspiracy while working as a sales book.

Mr. D believed in Mr. A’s identity and sent 200 million won for the mask, but it is known that he did not receive the mask or money.

D eventually sued the Seongbuk Police Station on charges of fraud at the beginning of last year. It is said that Mr. A and others are all denying the charges.

It is reported that the police seized and searched A’s account and mobile phone, and also investigated the factory in Jeonju. It is also known that applications for arrest warrants for Mr. A and Mr. B are being considered.
