Deputy Prime Minister Hong said about the growth rate of the Korean economy last year, “I think it will be about -1% to -1.1%, but there is a regret that it could not prevent reverse growth.”
Pointing out that the 3.2% growth target this year is too optimistic, he said, “I think that it is possible to achieve rather than optimistic, and I will try to achieve a rebound in V (V) this year.”
In addition, regarding the recent decline in the workable population, he said, “If the problem of low birthrate is not solved, we would like to think about the flexibility of foreign workers.” He added, “It is the next step up to the immigration policy, and it is necessary to think about the problem of hiring foreigners that can cover the shortage of employees.”
