‘Historical Distortion’ drama controversy → Kim Eun-hee who saw even Daedongyeojido, the secret story of’Kingdom’ writing-Reporter Oh Seo-rin

[오서린 기자] Amidst the controversy over the drama’Chosun-gu Masa’ due to history distortion, the secret story is being re-examined when author Kim Eun-hee’s’Kingdom’ was written.

Director Jang Hang-joon appeared as a guest in the KBS2 entertainment show “The Troubled Son of the Rooftop Room,” which aired on the 2nd. On the broadcast that day, MC Song Eun-i asked, “Have writer Kim Eun-hee ever ran through the folk village when preparing for’Kingdom’?”

In his words, Hang-jun Jang said, “I heard it now. Isn’t it that you’re trying anyway? “There is such a thing. Kim Eun-hee said she works really hard,” said his wife, Kim Eun-hee, and Song Eun-yi said, “I do a lot of research on data,” and drew attention.

Jang Hang-jun said, “I read too many books, but once I went to (to the studio), but when I was looking at the book, I was also looking at the book. Although villages and villages are virtual in’Kingdom’, he said, “In my mind, residents and zombies go to this valley.” He mentioned that he referred to Kim Jeong-ho’s map of Daedongyeo to understand the terrain of the Joseon Dynasty and the path of movement of zombies and people.

He continued, “The terrain is different from now. Even if it doesn’t actually appear in the drama, the path between zombies and people is (thinking)” he explained. In his words, when MC Jung Hyung-don asked, “Isn’t it because of’Jirisan’,” Jang Hang-jun said, “No. You must have thought that’Jirisan’ is also right what you saw in’Kingdom’. ‘Is this also a mountain?’ I must have wanted to,” he joked and made a laugh.

After the first broadcast on the 22nd, SBS’ Mon-Tue Drama’Chosun-gu Masa’, which has been engulfed by historical distortions and controversy over the Northeast Project, continued a reaction among netizens who compared it with’Kingdom’ of author Kim Eun-hee from before broadcast. It was said that the background of the work was the Joseon Dynasty, and that the birth poem possessed by evil spirits was visually similar to the zombies of’Kingdom’ after the teaser was released.

The Netflix original series’Kingdom’, written by Kim Eun-hee, has only the background of Joseon Dynasty, unlike’Chosun-gu Masa’. It is not a person. On the other hand,’Joseongu Masa’ features real figures such as Taejong Lee Bang-won, Chungnyeong Daegun, and Gangnyeong Daegun, the three kings of Joseon, and Queen Wonmyeong (played by Seo Young-hee), who is believed to be the wife of Taejong’s wife, Queen Wonkyung Min.

Unlike’Kingdom’,’Joseongu Masa’, in which a real character from the Joseon Dynasty appeared, has a shocking scene from the first episode of Taejong (played by Gam Woo-seong) facing the vision of Taejo Lee Seong-gye, hearing the hallucinations, and cutting the people’s throats. Controversy over the history of the war arose due to the words of Chungnyeong Daegun (played by Jang Dong-yoon), who seemed to be demeaning Lee Seong-gye’s great-grandfather, Timber. In addition, the interior interior of the palace and the Chinese-style refreshments that appear in the Gisaeng House and the instruments used in the OST are also suspicious of the Northeast Project, using stringed instruments from China such as Gogo and Gogeum.

Meanwhile, protests to stop broadcasting’Chosun-gu Masa’ are continuing through viewers’ bulletin boards on the official website and Cheong Wa Dae public petitions.
