Heungkuk Life Insurance said on the 15th, “Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young of the club on the 10th admitted that they had been violent in school when they were middle school players and apologized.”

Heungkuk Life said, “The victims took courage to reveal the facts of the damage. We fully understand and sympathize with the wounds and pains that the victims have suffered.” “We apologize and take deep responsibility for disappointing all those who love volleyball with this incident. I feel it,” he said.

“School violence is something that should never happen, and for any reason it is unacceptable,” he said. “The two players are deeply reflecting upon the facts of the abuse and apologizing. The club is also a victim who suffered from the wrongdoing of the players. I apologize once again to everyone,” he added.

Heungkuk Life Insurance also emphasized that “the two players will have to do everything they can to heal the victims’ wounds, such as meeting the victims in person and asking for forgiveness, as well as reflecting on cutting bones during their self-sufficiency.”

In addition, Heungkuk Life Insurance said that it would look into this event as a mirror to see if there were any non-human rights cases in the operation of the volleyball team and support all the players to grow as members of a mature society.

Earlier, on the 10th, an online community posted an article about Lee Jae-young and Da-young Lee’s school violence. The article listed the two players’ violent acts in 21 cases. Subsequently, as the controversy grew, the two players posted handwritten apology on their Instagram and bowed their heads to the victims.
