Rep. Yoo Yong of the Seoul City Council expressed his welcome that the Heukseok 2-dong redevelopment zone was included as a result of the selection of the first candidate site for the public redevelopment pilot project announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Seoul on the 15th.

Of the 70 participating in the competition last year, 12 sites for which maintenance plans were already established were selected, and as a result of the final selection, eight were selected, including Heukseok District 2 (1310 households), all of which were existing maintenance areas that had been delayed for more than 10 years. .

A total of 4,700 households in the candidate site will be promoted in a way that improves publicity instead of easing regulations in the future, and will be supplied to 4,700 new apartments after completing the designation of a maintenance area within the year.

In particular, Heukseok District 2, located along the Han River and close to Gangnam among candidate sites, is attracting attention as a good redevelopment.

It was designated as a maintenance area in 2008, and a promotion committee was formed the following year, but the use area of Heukseok 2, where the project was stopped, consists of a class 2 general residential area and a semi-residential area, and the floor area ratio is less than 450%.

Also, due to the large number of low-rise shopping malls, there are only 270 households currently living, but after redevelopment, the number will increase to 1310.

Rep. Yoo said, “I hope that the candidate site will be a successful model of improving the quality of life through the improvement of the aging residential environment in the city center, emphasizing that the development should be completed by establishing and implementing phased projects without disruption based on residents’ consent.” Revealed.
