Broadcaster Heo Ji-woong quickly talked about the prejudice and misunderstanding of the adopted family in relation to the incident.
On the morning of the 11th, Heo Ji-woong posted on his Instagram account, “A lot of discussions are being made with the recent death of Jung In-yi. As the weight of the story shifts from the abuse problem to the adoption problem, prejudices and misunderstandings toward adoptee families are spreading.”
He said, “If all the child abuse incidents that have made people’s eyes and hearts dizzy over the past year have all happened in adoptee families, that would be possible,” he said. “But the reality was not. It was usually the birth parents who tortured the children.”
“The rate of child abuse among adoptees is 0.3 percent of the total. We must not forget that prejudice was the reason why the numerous opportunities that allowed Jung-in to stop the case in the first place were lost.”
In this regard, Ji-woong Heo said, “The prejudice that people who do a lot of good things cannot. And the prejudice against the prejudice that it will be prejudice towards adoptive families. When a prejudice is proved to be different from the facts, it is wrong to reinforce the opposite prejudice.”
“Because prejudice coexists with the opposite prejudice and builds strength in the anger and hatred of those who have different prejudices. In the middle, instead of the evidence and facts revealed, a decision was made based on the prejudice of the person in charge.”
Meanwhile, through the recent SBS current affairs program’I want to know’, the case of Jung In-i was re-examined. In the case of Jeong In-i, the 16-month-old Jung In-i died due to continuous abuse by her adoptive parents.

Recently, a lot of discussions are taking place due to the abuse and death of Jung In.
Prejudice and misunderstandings are spreading towards adoptive families as the weight of the story shifts from abuse to adoption.
If all the child abuse incidents that have stunned people’s eyes and hearts over the past year have all happened in adoptive families, that would be the case.
But the reality was not.
It was usually the birth parents who tortured the children.
The rate of child abuse among adoptees is 0.3 percent of the total.
It should not be forgotten that prejudice was the reason why the so many opportunities that Jeong-in was able to stop the case in the first place were destroyed.
The prejudice that people who do a lot of good things cannot. And the prejudice against the prejudice that it would be prejudice towards adoptive families.
When a prejudice is proved to be different from the facts, it is wrong to reinforce the opposite prejudice.
This is because prejudice coexists with the opposite prejudice and cultivates strength in the anger and hatred of those with different prejudices.
In this case, the prejudice that the adoptive family should not be questioned and the prejudice that the adoptive family is suspicious were disputed.
It may not be possible to live without prejudice altogether, but at least it is worth knowing that the attitude of evaluating and deciding others as bad or good at my convenience can be the seed of unimaginable tragedy. I thought about it. #Hoo Jiwoong show #sbs radio
