[이데일리 스타in 이석무 기자] Heo Hoon (26, KT), recognized as the best guard in professional basketball, rose to the top of the All-Star fan vote for the second consecutive year. Heo Hoon (28, DB), his brother, also took second place, setting the record for the first time in professional basketball with the brothers taking the first and second place in the All-Star fan vote.
KBL officially announced on the 5th that “Heoung won the most votes with 32,2642 votes as a result of the All-Star fan poll that ended on the 4th.” With this, Heo Hoon enjoyed the honor of receiving the most votes for the second consecutive year following last year.
Heo Hoon, who was selected as the best player in the regular league last season (MVP), is also running at the top with 7.5 assists this season. The average score per game is also 14.6 points, ranking 12th in the league.
Heo Hoon’s older brother, Heo Woong, also ranked second with 31,421 votes. Heo Woong has won the 1st place in the All-Star Voting for the second consecutive year in the 2015-16 season and 2016-17 season. Heo Woong and Heo Hoon are the sons of former national coach Heo Jae, who was called the’Basketball President’. This is the first time that the brothers ranked first and second in a professional basketball All-Star fan vote, launched in 1997.
