Son revealed why he applied for the contest by stealing someone else’s work so far on SBS’s’Story of Wonder Y’, which aired on the 22nd. He said, “At the time, I honestly didn’t think it would be a problem,” he said. “I didn’t know whether plagiarism was so big. I didn’t really know that there would be such a big wave because I’m not doing it professionally.”

However, Mr. Son argued that “about four of the things that came up together are not (plagiarism),” and argued that the works that he submitted for some of the contests he received were not problematic. He also said, “I can’t remember everything (what a real history is),” he said, “it seems like half a fake history.” He also added, “I can’t remember exactly because it’s mixed up.”

Meanwhile, the reason why Son tried to wrap himself up with rude theft and false history was also revealed. Son’s mother and brother said he had been hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital for alcoholism and depression after disgraceful discharge from the military.

Mr. Son said, “I came out of the military unexpectedly (I didn’t get a job) and I was at home for almost 3 years, but my self-esteem was too low.” He said he had done it. Later, he confessed that he came to think of his own ability.
