Has it spread with a hot air blower? Viruses all over the cricket boiler factory

Check at 6 places, including changing room sofas, vending machines, and office heaters

On the morning of the 16th, a feeling of silence is flowing at the Asan factory, a cricket boiler in Tangjeong-myeon, Asan-si, Chungnam. The quarantine authorities said there were a bunch of confirmed cases of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at the factory. /Asan = Yonhap News

Corona 19 virus was detected throughout the cricket boiler factory in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, where 67 people were infected with the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to the Chungnam-do quarantine response team on the 16th, the corona 19 virus was detected in six inside the building of the Asan factory, a cricket boiler.

The virus was detected in five buildings of the factory where 641 people work, including a sofa in a common changing room in Building F, a drink vending machine, and a table in a common conference room.

Of the 57 confirmed employees, 54 worked in Building F. The virus also came out from the office warmer, and the quarantine authorities estimated that employees were exposed for a long time to the virus that spread throughout the factory by the wind from the warmer in a factory where ventilation facilities were not properly equipped. The common changing rooms in Building F, baths, rest rooms, and offices were found to be typical 3 rooms (closely, densely closed) environments.

The quarantine authorities are currently shutting down the operation of the plant and conducting a full inspection of employees. As 89 employees are still waiting for the test results, the number of confirmed cases may increase. As secondary infections of 10 employee’s family members are confirmed, a full examination of the employee’s family members is scheduled to be conducted.

Chungnam-do has decided to conduct an emergency quarantine inspection for business sites with more than 100 employees in the province this week, as there will be more places in the same environment as the cricket boiler factory. Governor Seung-jo Yang said, “It seems that a group infection occurred when employees ate together in a poorly ventilated place or shared a 3-room environment such as changing rooms, baths, and rest rooms,” said Governor Yang Seung-jo. “When eating together in a restaurant, do not sit face to face, I hope you wear a mask unless you are chewing food or drinking beverages.”
