Hanwha(31,000 +1.64%)Hanwha Solutions, a subsidiary(54,500 +5.01%)400 billion won will be invested in a paid-in capital increase for investment in this eco-friendly future business.

Hanwha held a board meeting on the 19th and announced that it will participate in a paid-in capital increase of 1.4 trillion won by subsidiary Hanwha Solutions.

Hanwha participates in the bequest and acquires 931,8601 new shares of Hanwha Solutions for about 4184 billion won. After acquiring new shares, Hanwha’s stake in Hanwha Solutions becomes 35.79%. The expected date to acquire stock is March 5th.

This is an investment in a project in the green new deal, which is expected to grow rapidly, and is the largest ever paid-in capital increase that Hanwha has participated in. The investment fund will use cash in hand.

Hanwha Solutions completed the allocation of new shares on this day in accordance with the paid-in capital increase plan announced last month.

Hanwha Solutions plans to invest 2.8 trillion won in next-generation solar power and green hydrogen projects over five years, including this bequest. Through this, the goal is to achieve sales of 21 trillion won and operating profit of 2.3 trillion won in 2025, and to establish itself as a global total energy solution company.

Hanwha Board Chairman Ok Gyeong-seok said, “We will realize sustainable future growth and increase shareholder value by increasing our investment in the green new deal.”
