[천지일보=홍보영 기자] Hanmi Pharmaceutical announced on the 2nd that 356 employees participated in the blood donation campaign of love, which was held for three days from 25 to 27 last month.
Hanmi Pharmaceutical’s’Blood Donation of Love’, which continues for 41 years this year, is the longest-term public benefit campaign in the domestic pharmaceutical industry, and a total of 8741 Hanmi Pharmaceutical Group employees have participated so far.
This year’s blood donation campaign was conducted by following strict quarantine guidelines according to the Corona 19 situation. The entire process, from interview, blood collection, and blood donation, was conducted individually by participants. Individual contact was minimized, such as having one person enter for each blood donation bus of the Korean Red Cross that has been disinfected and quarantined.
In particular, it was conducted at a sufficient interval of 20 minutes or more per person, and the company guided them to participate in blood donation after checking the health status of applicants for blood donation based on the results of the corona self-diagnosis app for employees.
The blood donation campaign was held at four sites, including the Pyeongtaek Bio Plant, Sepa Plant, Dongtan Research Center, Hwaseong Paltan Plant, and the headquarters. Out of a total of 410 pre-applicants, 356 participated, recording an 87% participation rate.
The’Blood Donation Campaign of Love’ continues every year since the founder, the late Chairman Seongki Lim, participated in the opening of the’Blood Donation House’ in Seoul City Hall Station in November 1980. Hanmi Pharmaceutical has collected 279,120 cc of blood through this campaign to date.
An official from Hanmi Pharm said, “The blood donation campaign of love has established itself as a unique corporate culture of Hanmi that practices Hanmi’s management philosophy of “respect for humans” and “create value”. We look forward to the spread of blood donation culture socially through the Korean-American campaign.”
