Hana Bank confirmed the appointment of Bank Chairman Park Seong-ho after a general shareholders’ meeting on the 25th. President Park Seong-ho became the third leader after the first presidents of Hana Bank Hahm and Seong-gyu Ji, who took office as the first presidents of Hana Bank in September 2015.

In his inauguration address on the day, Captain Park said, “When a nute in the African Serengeti grassland has to cross a river with crocodiles in order to survive, the leader of the group jumps into the river and leads the group. I will take the lead in the year,” he said.

“The value that never changes even in the rapidly changing financial environment is people,” said Chairman Park. “The starting point and aim of change and innovation should all be’people.’ People mean customers, employees, and even society.” .

He added, “The goal is to create a bank where customers are satisfied, a bank where employees are happy, a bank that contributes to the sustainable growth of society, and thus’a bank that looks forward to tomorrow’.

To this end, Chairman Park suggested three strategic directions: ▲ a digital bank in the life of customers ▲ a bank that grows with employees ▲ a bank that develops with society.

Chairman Park served as the CEO of Hana Financial Group’s IT subsidiary Hana Financial TI for about three years from December 2015, leading the successful computer integration of Hana Bank.

In addition, he was inaugurated as the head of Hana Bank Indonesia in June 2019 and achieved successful local sales results. It is an evaluation that he is a ready-made bank chief who served as CEO in both the global and digital fields.

He joined Hana Bank’s predecessor, Korea Investment Finance, and began to gain experience in sales and management by working as a branch manager at the age of 36 based on his sales capabilities.

In addition, it possesses the know-how as a’sales manager’ accumulated as a bank clerk in the field, and the capabilities as a’strategic telecommunications’ accumulated by serving as the head of the bank’s business management headquarters and the holding CSO.

An official from Hana Financial explained, “In Singapore and Indonesia, Shin Im Park possessed all the digital innovation capabilities accumulated by leading the global mindset, Hana Financial TI and Bank Digital Retail Group.”

Meanwhile, the first step after taking office, Park visited the branch and had time to communicate with the staff.
