There is a controversy over claims that broadcaster Ham So-won called Kimchi Pao Chai during live broadcasting.
On the 15th, a petition was posted on the public petition bulletin board titled’I petition Mr. A, who called Kimchi Pao Cha, to get off the broadcast.
The author said, “A mother-in-law from abroad entered Korea in a time when the whole family could not gather even on holidays due to Corona 19, and lived on February 3, and in the process, Mr. A mentioned kimchi to her Chinese mother-in-law. When criticized, the video was deleted.”
The author said, “Even if there is no evidence left, it will be undeniable because there were a large number of people who watched at the time.” “Even if Mr. A made a mistake, many people requested correction afterwards, but all were deleted. He responded by saying that he was a person.”
The petitioner added, “As the intellectual continued, the live broadcast was deleted, but there is a lot of evidence of witnesses. Continued remarks, I am very unpleasant as a Korean.”
The petition was approved by more than 1,800 people around 2pm on the 24th.
If you put together the information left by the author, A is presumed to be Ham So-won appearing with her Chinese mother-in-law on TV Chosun’s’Taste of Wife’.
On the 24th, Ham So-won’s Instagram post has commented on protests such as “Please clarify Pao Chai’s remarks” and “Kimchi is Kimchi in English and Chinese. It is not Pao Chai”.
However, some have shown a position to be wary of excessive controversy such as “Let’s not rush to criticize anything that is not yet clear.”
Currently, Ham So-won is married to Jin Jin, a Chinese, and has a daughter, and is appearing on TV Chosun’The Taste of Wife’.
