Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital is carrying out national projects for the development of new artificial intelligence drugs based on medical big data in the era of digital transformation, customized cancer prediction models, and new medical technologies.

The contents of the project are ▲ Establishment of a safe health care data utilization environment ▲ Expansion of data standard distribution and establishment of the basis for utilization ▲ Promotion of specialized data for each field such as the development of artificial intelligence new drugs and major diseases of cancer data ▲ Data set definition for medical data utilization, new technology, artificial intelligence, etc. It is such as promoting research for development.

Through this project, Seongshim Hospital will carry out ▲data production ▲data management and information security ▲data quality management ▲data utilization and opening (the goal of building its own medical big data portal and cloud-based platform).

In particular, Sungshim Hospital will focus on building a dataset by specializing unrefined data (atypical data) by cancer, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and specialized disease (ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology).

When a data set for each disease is established, it is possible to innovate medical quality in a variety of ways. First, it is possible to discover a corona risk prediction model, develop diagnosis and treatment, and develop a customized survival rate and prognosis prediction model for cancer patients. In addition, when researching the development of new drugs such as cancer and sleep disorders, research efficiency and effects can be improved based on artificial intelligence, and side effects and effects of different drugs can be predicted for each patient.

It is also used in medical device development research. Based on the biosignal biomarker, it is possible to develop a technology that allows artificial intelligence to automatically screen and diagnose diseases or read tests. It is also used in digital healthcare research. By standardizing the endoscopic image and video data to create a deep learning-based automatic assisted diagnosis system, it is possible to increase the accuracy of the examination and treatment effect because artificial intelligence assists the doctor in diagnosing.
