As a result, the next president of Kyungnam Bank was condensed to be Vice President Choi Hong-young (Chief, Credit Operation Group of Kyungnam Bank) and Kim Young-young (Chief CIB Group, BNK Financial Group) vice president. After a final interview next week, it is expected to be selected as the next president of Kyungnam Bank.

According to BNK Kyungnam Bank, on the morning of the 9th, Hwang said to the Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee, “I will withdraw for the future and change of Kyungnam Bank.”

On this day, the presentation of the three candidates was scheduled. After a meeting, the Executive Nomination Committee accepted Hwang’s resignation and added the names of vice president Choi Hong-young and vice president Kim Young-young as the second candidate.


On the 16th, Kyungnam Bank plans to conduct interviews with these candidates at the Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee to recommend the final candidates. Subsequently, a successor bank president will be appointed at the regular shareholders’ meeting held on the 25th.

An official of Kyungnam Bank said, “The internal employees are also surprised by the sudden resignation.” “There is no other reason to be revealed other than for the future of the bank.”

Meanwhile, BNK Busan Bank’s current bank president, Bin Dae-in, also announced his intention to resign on the same day.

On this day, Busan Bank narrowed the candidates for the next bank president’s final interview to two candidates, including Ahn Ga-chan, vice president of Busan Bank, BNK Financial Group vice president Myung Hyeong-guk, and vice-president Kim Young-guk, excluding the head of the bank.
