In Gyeongnam, the number of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) increased by 53 in one day.
Gyeongnam Province announced on the 15th that 53 additional corona19 confirmed cases occurred in the province after 5 pm on the 14th. Except for one person entering overseas, all are local infections. By region, there are 29 people in Jinju, 22 people in Geoje, and 1 person each in Tongyeong and Hapcheon.
It is estimated that the majority of patients diagnosed in Jinju are those related to the Jinju sauna, where a group infection occurred. Of these, about 7 were confirmed to be related to the pearl company. The quarantine authorities are trying to figure out the route of infection of Jinju confirmed patients.
In addition, 22 people were confirmed in connection with the Geoje entertainment facility. These confirmed cases were initially identified as group infections related to the Geoje bathhouse, but the route of infection was corrected as a visitor to the bathhouse was identified as an entertainment facility worker.
The remaining two were confirmed by a man in his 50s in Tongyeong with a confirmed patient in the metropolitan area, and a woman in his 70s in Hapcheon was confirmed related to the Jinju sauna. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province increased to 2,443 (292 hospitalized, 2,139 discharged, and 12 deaths).
