Gyeonggi Province, paid secondary disaster basic income from February-Maeil Economy

From next month, Gyeonggi Province will pay 100,000 won per capita to all residents of the second disaster basic income.

Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myeong held a press conference on the 28th and said, “We have concluded that it is desirable to pay basic disaster income before the Lunar New Year holiday.”

Governor Lee said, “In addition to respecting the quarantine concerns of some, including the Democratic Party leadership, after a close analysis of the COVID-19 quarantine situation for 10 days, we decided that now is the bottom of the 3rd pandemic.” The right time to pay the income,” he explained. Governor Lee also said, “I conveyed this intention to the Democratic Party and the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday and asked for understanding.”

The second basic disaster income in Gyeonggi Province is provided to all residents, registered foreigners, and 1,390,000 foreign nationals.

From next month, you can apply in three ways: online application, on-site pickup, and on-site application service. Online applicants can apply from February 1st to March 14th from 9am to 11pm.

You can apply by selecting one of the existing Gyeonggi local currency card or 12 credit cards on the market. However, unlike the first payment in April of last year, online application is subject to five subsidiaries based on the year of birth.

From February 1 to 28, residents with 1 and 6 ending digits can apply on Monday, 2 and 7 on Tuesday, 3 and 8 on Wednesday, 4 and 9 on Thursday, and 5 and 0 on Friday.

Residents who are unable to apply online can apply by visiting the Eup, Myeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center in their address area from March 1st. Office workers who are difficult to apply during the week can also apply on Saturday, March 1-27.

In order to prevent the crowding of applicants in the early stages, Gyeonggi Province was born on March 1-6 for those born before 1959, March 8-13 for 1960-1969, March 15-20 for 1970-1979, and after 1980 Made applications available on March 22-27.

Secondary disaster basic income must be used at Gyeonggi local currency affiliates within 3 months from the date of use approval. It cannot exceed the maximum of June 30th. Unused amount during this period will be returned.

Governor Lee said, “Although Gyeonggi-do’s basic disaster income may not be sufficient, I hope it will be an opportunity to comfort the sacrifices and pains that all citizens are making together, and to give them hope and courage.”
