Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it has decided to pay the’Basic Income for Youth’, which has been paid quarterly, to youth suffering from the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at once.

Accordingly, if the lump sum payment is agreed, the first applicant in the first quarter of this year can receive 1 million won for one year (for a total of four quarters), and the applicant in the fourth quarter of last year can receive 750,000 won for the remaining three quarters at a time.

Youth basic income for the first quarter of this year is received from March 2 to 26 and is paid from April 14.

The target of application is for 3 consecutive years or more in Gyeonggi Province as of the date of application, or the sum of the number of days of residence for 10 years or more. He is a 24-year-old young man born between January 2, 1996 and January 1, 1997, who is currently registered as a resident in Gyeonggi-do.

Eligible people can apply online or mobile after signing up for Gyeonggi-do job platform apply.jobaba.net.

In the case of young adults who registered for automatic application when applying last quarter, this time, they are subject to examination without a separate application process.

For the documents to be submitted, you only need to prepare a copy of the resident registration (issued after March 2, including the last 5 years or full address history).

However, if you want to receive payments this year among young people who have been automatically applied for this year, you must check the status of your application and change the application to’Comprehensive Payment Agreement’.

After confirming the applicant’s eligibility, the province plans to pay 250,000 won in local currency equivalent to the first quarter of April 14, or local currency equivalent to the lump sum payment agreed by the applicant, in the form of an electronic card or mobile phone.

Gyeonggi-do Youth Basic Income is the core youth policy of Governor Lee Jae-myung, in which a total of 1 million won per quarter is paid by 250,000 won per quarter, provided that all 24-year-old youths in the province meet the conditions of residence.

In the second year of its implementation, last year, the application rate was 92.5% (13,9003) compared to the recipients (15,308), and a total of 151.4 billion won was paid.

After receiving the card, if you register the card through the customer center or mobile app, you can use it as freely as cash at traditional markets or small business enterprises in the address area like a check card. However, use is restricted in department stores, hypermarkets, corporate supermarkets (SSM), and entertainment establishments.
