From February 1, Gyeonggi-do started to respond to fake sites that were caught ahead of the online payment application for the ‘2nd Gyeonggi disaster basic income’.

On the 31st, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 29th that it had checked the fake disaster basic income request site and reported it to the portal site and immediately deleted it.

This fake site, which appears when you search for the word’Guide to Applying for Secondary Disaster Basic Income’, is automatically installed with malicious code.

When the user responds to the request to enter a mobile phone number for depositing basic disaster income, a small amount is paid without the victim knowing.

14 of these sites were found after the portal site.

The province requested portal sites such as Daum and Naver to search for and automatically block fake sites created with keywords for disaster basic income in Gyeonggi Province. In addition, if a fake site is detected, it will take strict measures, such as asking the police for investigation.

In addition, to prevent further damage from occurring, the provincial government has introduced the address of the basic disaster income homepage (basicincome.gg.go.kr) in Gyeonggi-do through the provincial government homepage and social network service (SNS).

In addition to portal sites, monitoring has been strengthened for internet cafes, blogs, and social network service (SNS) channels, and there have been no cases of damage received so far, Do said.
