GS E&C participates in’Earth Hour’, the world’s largest global light-off campaign for the environment.

Earth Hour is the world’s largest climate crisis response campaign hosted by the World Nature Fund (WWF), a non-profit nature conservation organization. In order to share the seriousness of climate change and contribute to energy conservation and carbon emission reduction, the event is turned off for an hour starting at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March every year since 2007.

According to GS E&C on the 25th, this participation took place as’Grand Seoul,’ where the head office moved in, participated in this year’s Earth Hour.

A GS E&C official said, “By participating in Earth Hour, we will actively engage in eco-friendly campaigns such as climate change policy, energy saving and carbon emission reduction,” and “We will strive to lead the industry in the eco-friendly sector in the future in the era of ESG” .

Meanwhile, GS E&C obtained an integrated grade of’A (excellent)’ in the ‘2020 ESG evaluation grade of listed companies’ announced by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS) last year, and was certified as a representative eco-friendly construction company. ESG (Environmental Environment·Social Social·Governance Structure) is regarded as a key indicator that measures a company’s long-term value and sustainability from a non-financial perspective.
