The’Hydrogen Innovation Desk’, an organization dedicated to fostering and supporting hydrogen specialized companies, has opened.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held a signing ceremony for the Hydrogen Innovation Desk at the headquarters of the Hydrogen Convergence Alliance Promotion Team in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 12th.
The Hydrogen Innovation Desk is an organization that supports companies that have entered the hydrogen economy in accordance with the government’s investment plan so that they can achieve concrete results.
First, a dedicated investment project support team is formed to closely support the entire process from initial investment planning to completion.
In addition, the company’s difficulties are collected at all times, and support for regulatory reform and system preparation, etc.
It also organizes a technology and management support group for hydrogen-specialized companies. The support team plans to support technical and management consulting of specialized companies, and use the hydrogen industry comprehensive information system to promote the enhancement of the capabilities of specialized companies, such as market development and matching of professional technical manpower.
Through this, the government plans to foster more than 1,000 specialized hydrogen companies by 2040.
Earlier, five subsidiaries, including SK, Hyundai Motors, POSCO, Hanwha, and Hyosung, announced plans to invest 43 trillion won in hydrogen economy by 2030. Small and medium-sized companies are also planning to invest more than 1 trillion won in specialized fields.
An official from the Ministry of Industry said, “We will ensure the effectiveness of corporate investments and increase synergy between companies,” and “I look forward to the Hydrogen Innovation Desk will expand the hydrogen market and establish a virtuous cycle of additional investment.”
