Group infection continues in Chungbuk hospital… 24 people in 2 places were confirmed again

Another pile of confirmed cases came out of two hospitals in Chungbuk where the COVID-19 outbreak occurred. The cumulative confirmed cases in the province also exceeded 1,000.

According to Chungbuk-do on the 26th, 21 additional people were confirmed at Doeun Hospital in Jincheon, which is quarantined by the same group (cohort) due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The previous day, 262 patients (211) and workers (51) were examined in full, and confirmed cases were poured out from the patient group.

The quarantine authorities reported that the 12 people came out in a state of’undecided’ that could not be confirmed whether they were infected and will be retested two days later.

In this hospital, after treatment at the neighboring Goesan St. Mary’s Hospital on the 19th, two patients were first infected, and 44 (42 patients, 2 workers) have been confirmed in a chain.

The previous day, in the total examination of 52 patients and 52 workers in the 3rd floor of Goesan St. Mary’s Hospital, 3 additional confirmed patients (2 patients and 1 worker) were covered.

The hospital is currently in cohort quarantine on the second and third floors. Since the 15th, 44 people have been infected with a group infection.

The quarantine authorities are conducting full examinations every three days for these two hospitals where group infections occurred.

Accordingly, the cumulative corona19 confirmed in the province has increased to 1019.
