As employees working at the cricket boiler factory in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, where the group infection occurred, are visiting their hometowns during the Lunar New Year holidays, there is concern about the spread of a secondary infection between family and acquaintances.
Among the confirmed factory employees, more than 20 foreign workers were included.
According to the city of Asan, Chungcheongnam-do on the 17th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the cricket boiler plant as of 9 am on the day was 116.
Of the confirmed personnel so far, 99 employees and 17 family and acquaintances.
Foreign workers and 24 acquaintances were also included.
In this factory, the first confirmed cases came out on the 13th, the Lunar New Year holiday. The quarantine authorities ordered employees working in the same building to undergo inspections on the same day.
However, many of the employees were visiting their hometown during the Lunar New Year holidays.
Employees contacted by the quarantine authorities were tested for Corona 19, and some of them were tested positive in their hometowns.
This is why eight confirmed employees of the Asan cricket boiler plant came out in Daegu, Gyeongsan, and Chuncheon.

A family member and acquaintance who met a factory employee who visited his hometown without knowing the infection was also infected.
The previous day in Daegu and Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, it was confirmed that the families of employees of the cricket factory were infected with Corona 19.
On that day, two acquaintances who met an employee of the cricket factory in Qingdao also received a training notification.
Although confirmed cases related to the cricket boiler plant are sporadically coming out from all over the country, the quarantine authorities in Chungnam Province have not been able to figure out how many employees have visited their hometown.
The quarantine authorities are also tense that a large number of foreigners are included among the confirmed cases.
In Chungcheongnam-do, until recently, a group infection occurred mainly in foreign workers at a Thai food store in Cheonan and a broiler processing plant in Dangjin, which caused measles once.
Governor Yang Seung-jo said, “We investigated foreign workers on the basis of the last group infection of Thais, but we do not judge that they have been thoroughly investigated,” said Governor Yang Seung-jo.
