The government will announce a plan to adjust social distancing in relation to the third pandemic of Corona 19 (new coronavirus infection) on January 2 next year.
Tae-ho Yoon, head of quarantine at the Central Accident Control Headquarters (heavy water version), said at a regular briefing on Corona 19 on the 31st, “The special quarantine measures for the year-end and New Year holidays, the 2.5th stage of the metropolitan area, and the 2nd stage of the non-metropolitan area will end on January 3 of next year. Informed.
“Therefore, the government is collecting expert opinions from not only ministries and local governments, but also from the Livelihood Prevention Committee on the measures for quarantine measures after January 4,” said Yun.
“We discussed the distance adjustment plan through the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters today,” said Yun. “Based on today’s discussions, the final decision was made and announced through the transcript meeting on January 2nd next year. I will do it,” he explained.
Earlier, the government has maintained the current social distancing stage since the 8th. From the 24th, travel and meetings were restricted by applying special quarantine measures during the year-end and New Year holidays.
Regarding the current corona situation, Mr. Yoon said, “It is not yet seen that the trend of the outbreak of patients is reversed and the third epidemic is decreasing. We are doing our best to overcome the inflection point where the epidemic decreases beyond inhibition.”
According to the heavy water version, in the last week (December 25-31), an average of about 1007 new patients per day occurred in the region. Of these, 70.4% was found to be concentrated in the metropolitan area. As the number of patients over 60 is increasing, the number of patients with severe gastric disorders is also steadily increasing.
On the other hand, from next year, the preemptive inspection period for vulnerable facilities such as non-capital nursing hospitals, nursing facilities, and mental hospitals will be shortened from once every two weeks to once a week, and facilities subject to inspection will include nursing home facilities nationwide and residential facilities for the severely disabled. It will also be expanded.
